Please read these terms before booking. By making a booking, you confirm that you accept them.
Nothing in these terms limits your statutory consumer rights.
Â
2. Making a booking
A booking is confirmed when:
-
You receive written confirmation from Delightful Dogs or Wix; and
-
Any payment required at booking has been successfully received.
Please check the confirmation carefully and notify us promptly if anything is incorrect.
You must be at least 18 years old to make a booking.
Unless otherwise stated, each booking covers one dog and their responsible handler. Additional dogs or handlers must be agreed in advance.

3. Prices and payment
Prices are shown in pounds sterling.
The amount payable will be displayed before you confirm the booking. Payment may be made online, by bank transfer or through another agreed method.
For programmes or packages, the payment schedule and any expiry date will be explained before purchase.
You are responsible for ensuring that payment details and contact information are accurate.
Â
4. 1:1 training sessions
1:1 sessions may take place:
-
At an agreed park or outdoor location.
-
At the client’s home.
-
Online.
-
At another mutually agreed venue.
You must provide accurate information about your dog before the session, including relevant health concerns, bite history, aggressive behaviour, fear, guarding or reactivity.
The trainer may recommend changing the location or format where this is necessary for welfare or safety.

5. Programmes and packages
A programme may contain several appointments, resources and between-session support.
The programme contents will be explained before purchase. Sessions must be used within any stated validity period unless otherwise agreed.
Where a programme has started and you later cancel, any refund will take account of:
-
Sessions already delivered.
-
Materials or resources already supplied.
-
Reasonable costs already incurred.
-
Any statutory cancellation rights that apply.
Â
6. Group walks, workshops and events
Each event description will explain its date, time, location, duration, price and any suitability requirements.
You are responsible for deciding whether your dog can safely and comfortably participate. Contact us before booking where your dog:
-
Is very fearful around dogs or people.
-
Has a history of biting or serious aggression.
-
Is highly reactive at close distances.
-
Has a medical or mobility condition.
-
May otherwise struggle in a group environment.
Dogs should not attend if they are unwell, have a contagious condition or could create an avoidable health or welfare risk.
Group sizes may vary. Unless specifically described as an off-lead activity, dogs must remain appropriately secured.
Â
7. Online services
You are responsible for having:
-
A suitable device.
-
A reliable internet connection.
-
Working sound and, where needed, video.
-
A safe environment from which to participate.
We are not responsible for a client’s equipment or internet failure. Where practical, we will try to help you rejoin or provide reasonable alternative access.
Online sessions and masterclasses may not be recorded, copied or distributed by participants without written permission.
Where Delightful Dogs records a session, this will be explained beforehand.
Â
8. Client responsibilities
You agree to:
-
Treat trainers, other clients, venue staff and members of the public respectfully.
-
Follow reasonable safety and welfare instructions.
-
Use secure and suitable equipment.
-
Keep your dog under appropriate control.
-
Bring any treats, toys, water or equipment listed in the booking information.
-
Supervise children attending with you.
-
Inform us promptly of any material change in your dog’s health or behaviour.
You remain legally responsible for your dog and their actions throughout the service unless the trainer has explicitly taken control of the dog.
We recommend appropriate pet and third-party liability insurance.
Â
9. Training methods and welfare
Delightful Dogs uses kind, reward-based training and behaviour-modification methods.
We will not require you to use equipment or techniques that we consider unnecessarily painful, frightening or harmful.
We may stop or adapt a session where continuing would create an unreasonable risk to a person or animal.
Where participation is ended because of serious unsafe behaviour, abusive conduct or a material failure to disclose relevant information, any refund will reflect the service supplied and the reasonable loss caused.
Â
10. Results
Dog training and behaviour change depend on many factors, including the dog’s history, health, environment and the consistency with which recommendations are followed.
We will provide services with reasonable care and skill, but we cannot guarantee a particular outcome or timescale.
Training advice is not a substitute for veterinary diagnosis or treatment. We may recommend contacting a veterinary surgeon or another suitably qualified professional.
Â
11. Cancellations and refunds
Our Refund and Cancellation Policy forms part of these terms.
In summary:
-
1:1 sessions should be cancelled or rescheduled with at least 24 hours’ notice.
-
Ticketed events should normally be cancelled at least 24 hours beforehand to receive a full refund.
-
Late cancellations and non-attendance may result in some or all of the fee being retained, reflecting the loss caused and whether the place can be resold.
-
Statutory cancellation rights remain unaffected.
Cancelling a Wix booking does not automatically issue a refund. Refunds must be processed separately and will be returned through the original payment method.
Â
12. Changes or cancellations by Delightful Dogs
We may need to change a trainer, venue, route, date, time or delivery method because of:
-
Unsafe weather.
-
Illness or emergency.
-
Venue closure.
-
Travel disruption.
-
Insufficient attendance.
-
Animal or public-safety concerns.
-
Circumstances outside our reasonable control.
Where a material change is made, we will offer an appropriate alternative, credit, transfer or refund.
If Delightful Dogs cancels a service entirely and no suitable alternative is accepted, you will receive a refund for the service not supplied.
We are not responsible for additional travel, accommodation or other indirect costs incurred by you.
Â
13. Weather
Outdoor sessions normally continue in light rain and ordinary seasonal conditions.
We may postpone, relocate, shorten or cancel a session where conditions create a significant safety or welfare concern, including extreme heat, storms, ice or official weather warnings.
If an event goes ahead and you choose not to attend, the normal client-cancellation policy applies.
Â
14. Photographs and publicity
We may ask for permission to take or use photographs and videos.
You do not have to agree, and refusing permission will not affect your ability to receive a service.
Separate permission will be obtained before identifiable material is used for marketing wherever appropriate.
Â
15. Intellectual property
All written plans, slides, webinar materials, videos, worksheets and training resources remain the intellectual property of Delightful Dogs or the relevant creator.
They are supplied for your personal, non-commercial use.
You must not reproduce, sell, publish, upload, teach from or distribute them without written permission.
Â
16. Liability
Delightful Dogs does not exclude or limit liability where doing so would be unlawful, including liability for:
-
Death or personal injury caused by negligence.
-
Fraud or fraudulent misrepresentation.
-
Breach of statutory consumer rights.
Subject to this, we are not responsible for loss or damage caused by:
-
Inaccurate or incomplete information supplied by you.
-
Failure to follow reasonable instructions.
-
Unsuitable or defective equipment supplied by you.
-
Your dog’s actions or an undisclosed behavioural or medical issue.
-
The independent actions of another dog, owner, venue or member of the public.
-
Events outside our reasonable control.
We are responsible for foreseeable loss caused by our breach of contract or failure to use reasonable care and skill.
Â
17. Complaints
Please raise concerns as soon as possible so that we have an opportunity to resolve them.
Email christine@delightful-dogs.co.uk with:
-
Your name.
-
Booking or order details.
-
A description of the concern.
-
The outcome you are seeking.
We will investigate and respond as promptly as reasonably possible.
Data-protection complaints will be handled in accordance with the complaints process described in our Privacy Policy.
Â
18. Governing law
These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales.
Consumers living elsewhere in the United Kingdom retain any mandatory rights available under the law applying where they live.
The courts of England and Wales will normally have jurisdiction, subject to any mandatory consumer rights concerning jurisdiction.
